Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu was born in the United States. She is an American actor, singer and voice actor. A beautiful and smart actress, she's an inspiration to many Asian actors who want to become famous in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame by joining the cast of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the sly Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden success into big screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. After that, she delivered her best role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese criminal O Ren Ishii. Around the same time she also played the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't yield results. Southland is a critically-acclaimed series of crime dramas that included Liu in multiple parts, helped to establish her as an actress. Liu carefully selects roles to avoid being a stereotype in a field where competition is fierce. Although she's embraced the roots of her family, she hasn't let it hinder her creativity.
